Chenavari Investment Managers is looking for a talented Junior Python Developer to join its Risk Management team as for 12 months. You will be part of a high-performance, collaborative environment, helping to build and maintain mission-critical infrastructure for risk analysis and investment decision-making. Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Python Developer, you will contribute to the ongoing development and support of the proprietary Risk Management platform and quantitative library. You will:

  • Build Python-based dashboards and tools used by traders, analysts, and risk managers
  • Ad-hoc data analysis and visualisation for senior stakeholders
  • Maintain a constant smooth day-to-day process with fast bug-fixing
  • Increase efficiency by refactoring and improving existing frameworks when possible

Required Skills & Qualifications

The Firm is looking for a smart, curious, and technically capable individual with:

  • 0-1 years of experience in a quantitative or software development role
  • Proficiency in Python , with a focus on production-level code
  • Understanding of data structures , numerical methods , and statistics
  • Familiarity with Linux , Git , and scripting (Bash or similar)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication ability
  • Experience using Pandas/Numpy/Plotly/HoloViz Panel is beneficial
  • Knowledge of C++ is also beneficial
  • Experience and knowledge of the fixed income or credit financial instruments at a bank or alternative asset manager
  • Eager to learn, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • The Legal right to work in the United Kingdom is essential

  • Strong attention to detail, proactive, highly organised and process-driven
  • Autonomous self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
  • Available to providing on-call, early morning and remote support

Educational requirement

  • Upper second or 1st class honours degree in a STEM degree from a reputable university
