Structural Engineer Manchester£50-80k DOE + Benefits
We are recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join an established engineering team, carrying out structural inspections, appraisals, defect diagnosis, and repair design across a wide range of buildings.
This role will focus on assessing domestic, commercial, industrial, and historic buildings, identifying structural issues, investigating root causes, and developing practical repair solutions.
Key Responsibilities: • Inspecting and assessing varied buildings and structures • Diagnosing defects using intrusive and non-destructive investigation methods • Preparing structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports • Designing repair solutions and supporting repair delivery • Liaising with contractors, specialists, and project teams
Requirements: • BSc / BEng or equivalent from an IStructE / ICE approved course • Strong understanding of building structures, fabric, defects, and alterations • Experience preparing structural calculations and drawings • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Tekla, and ideally Autodesk Revit
