Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Berkshire, is looking to recruit an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen their quality and supplier performance team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing supplier quality performance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring components and materials meet the highest manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier quality performance across the supply chain
- Conduct supplier audits and support supplier development activities
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and process capability
- Support new supplier approvals and onboarding activities
- Review and approve supplier quality documentation including PPAPs, FAIRs, and control plans
- Collaborate with internal manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams
- Monitor supplier KPIs and produce quality performance reports
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer role within manufacturing
- Strong understanding of quality systems and supplier management processes
- Experience conducting supplier audits
- Knowledge of root cause analysis tools and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards and documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Engineering or Quality qualification preferred
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D methodologies
