Maintenance Electrician – MOD / RAF Estate
Location: Various RAF Bases Across the UK
Full-Time | Long-Term Contract | Immediate Starts Available
We are currently recruiting for experienced Maintenance Electricians to support a major MOD maintenance programme across RAF bases throughout the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project delivering essential maintenance, compliance, and improvement works across operational and residential defence estates.
The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance within secure RAF environments, ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive electrical repairs and fault finding
• Testing and inspection of electrical installations
• Consumer unit replacements and upgrades
• Lighting and power installations
• Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
• Small works and remedial projects
• Accurate completion of compliance and maintenance documentation
• Working in accordance with current regulations and MOD standards
Requirements
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Proven experience within electrical maintenance
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to obtain MOD Security Clearance
• Own hand tools and PPE
Desirable Experience
• MOD, RAF, Defence or Government estate experience
• Facilities Management (FM) environments
• Property maintenance or social housing maintenance
• Compliance-led maintenance contracts
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
