We’re hiring a DRTV Channel Specialist to build a direct response TV acquisition channel from scratch inside our Growth team.
In this standalone role, you will own US DRTV end to end, from network selection and buying strategy through to response measurement and creative versioning. Working directly with our in-house creative team, you will turn TV into a measurable, profitable performance channel for one Malaberg portfolio brand.
What You Will Do
- Own the full US DRTV channel build: network mix, station and cable selection, daypart strategy, rate negotiation, and buy execution.
- Integrate vanity number and inbound call-centre response with digital capture, attributed back to spot, daypart, and creative.
- Design and run a structured creative testing programme: A/B testing, versioning by length, offer, and CTA, with a clear learning and winning-asset process.
- Build and maintain the measurement stack: response tracking, MMM/MTA inputs, incrementality reads, and a weekly ROAS/CAC scorecard.
- Brief creative requirements to our in-house brand specialists, ensuring copy and hooks are optimised for the target audience and approved on schedule.
- Use agencies, rep firms, or buying partners selectively where they unlock inventory not reachable in-house.
- Document internal playbooks, buying conventions, tracking setups, and partner databases to make the channel repeatable and extendable across the Malaberg portfolio.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on US DRTV buying. You have personally placed spots and owned outcomes. UK-only DRTV experience does not transfer.
- Both short-form spot and long-form infomercial experience are required.
- Deep US market literacy: DMAs, national vs spot cable, rep firms, clearance, and make-good norms.
- Attribution rigour across response tracking, MMM/MTA, and incrementality reads, including an honest view of the limits of each.
- Call-centre and digital response craft. You know how vanity numbers, IVR, and digital response stitch into TV measurement.
- Commercial fluency in CAC, payback, contribution margin, and ‘scale, change or kill’ decisions, not impressions and reach.
- Ability to design a real creative test plan, extract meaningful learnings, and brief in-house specialists with precision.
- This role suits someone with deep US DRTV experience and the commercial instincts to make TV pay back.
Bonus Points If You Have
- An active network of US TV rep firms, cable networks, or DRTV buying partners in health, wellness, or direct-response categories.
- Hands-on experience with FunnelFlux, Klaviyo, or modern DTC e-commerce CRM workflows.
- Prior exposure to operating across both UK and US markets simultaneously.
- A background in subscription e-commerce, wellness, or direct-response marketing agencies with in-house P&L accountability.
