Piling Engineer – 2 Year Project – Outside IR35 – Scotland

We’re supporting a Tier 1 contractor on a major infrastructure scheme in Scotland and are looking for an experienced Piling Engineer to join on a long-term contract.

Location: Scotland (site-based)

Duration: 2 years

Contract: Outside IR35

Rate: Competitive day rate

Role Overview

You’ll play a key role in the delivery of piling works, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installation across a large-scale project.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee piling operations on site (bored, driven, CFA, or similar)
• Ensure works are delivered to programme, specification, and safety standards
• Review and interpret piling design and geotechnical data
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers
• Monitor quality, manage records, and resolve technical issues

Ideal Profile

• Proven experience delivering piling works on major projects
• Background with Tier 1 or large contractors
• Strong understanding of piling methods and geotechnical principles
• Able to manage site activities and stakeholders effectively
• Relevant engineering qualification (civil/geotechnical preferred)
