  • Renewable energy project experience preferred (substations, cable installation, inverter/PV installation, civil BoP works)
  • SMSTS, NEC4 Supervision, or similar accreditation
  • Full UK driving licence

Role Responsibilities

The Client Representative will protect the client’s interests by providing independent oversight, assurance, and reporting throughout project delivery.

Client-Side Oversight & Assurance

  • Monitor construction progress against programme and report status to the client team
  • Observe works on site to confirm compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications and approved RAMS
  • Witness key construction activities, inspections, and tests (including pre- and post-concrete pours)

Reporting & Project Support

  • Prepare regular site progress reports, photographs, and risk/opportunity updates for the client
  • Attend and contribute to progress, coordination, and technical meetings
  • Maintain trackers for construction activities, deliverables, and key milestones
  • Support the Project Manager in monitoring EPC and ICP contractual obligations
  • Assist with review and validation of milestone and payment applications

Health, Safety & Quality

  • Monitor health & safety performance and report observations, concerns, and good practice to the client
  • Review and comment on contractor H&S documentation (RAMS, TMP, CMP)
  • Identify quality issues and support the management of NCRs and corrective actions
  • Participate in snagging inspections and track close-out progress

Commissioning & Interfaces

  • Observe civil and mechanical commissioning activities from a client assurance perspective
  • Support coordination with utilities, landowners, and third-party stakeholders
  • Assist with preparation and review of documentation supporting Provisional and Final Acceptance

Environmental & Compliance

  • Monitor compliance with planning conditions, environmental consents and project commitments
  • Liaise with the Environmental Clerk of Works and report any non-compliances
  • Escalate risks related to environmental, programme, or quality issues to the client team

If you have experience acting on behalf of a client within major renewable or infrastructure projects and are interested in this opportunity, please submit your CV and availability.
