As Operations Director, the role will involve:
- Leadership and management of the operation, driving the site forward setting clear expectations.
- Visible and in touch with the site team daily.
- Leading the S&OP process for the business
- Ensuring maximum efficiency and output while working strategically.
- Implementation of robust data-capture and KPI systems
- Preparation of data for weekly SMT meetings as well as monthly for the Board
Ideal backgrounds:
- Senior Operations role in an FMCG or food business essential.
- Proven ability in leadership, building and developing teams in demanding manufacturing environments.
- A bright and enquiring mind, able to drive solutions and plan strategically.
- Significant experience of production management in the FMCG or food industry.
- A good understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven success in process improvement, introduction of data capture and S&OP processes.
- Structure and organised approach.
- Ideally a background in automated manufacturing processes.
- Previous P&L responsibility.
- Six Sigma or lean manufacturing training would be a significant advantage.
