The Opportunity

Consulting Point is representing the Digital Design practice of a premier global management consultancy. This team is scaling its capability to deliver user-centred digital services, specifically for mission-critical programmes within the UK Government. We are seeking Senior Digital Business Analysts who operate at the intersection of critical thinking, technical architecture, and agile delivery. This is an advisory-led role requiring a consultant who can navigate complex policy environments and deliver high-impact digital products.

The Mandate: Senior Agile & Digital Advisory

A primary requirement for this position is a proven track record within a management consulting firm. You must be an expert in the digital lifecycle, acting as the senior link between complex policy requirements and technical execution. The role demands an individual who can navigate the transition from legacy systems to agile, cloud-native environments while ensuring all outputs remain aligned with user needs and government standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary Agile Scrum teams to translate user research and policy evidence into robust, delivery-ready user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide senior-level advisory to central government clients on the strategic application of digital technologies to drive operational value.
  • Direct end-to-end user-centred design projects, ensuring a seamless interface between design, product management, engineering, and testing.
  • Manage high-level stakeholder relationships, influencing policy leads and technical authorities to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies and mentor the wider team to achieve high-velocity, high-impact delivery goals.
  • Conduct technical business analysis by evaluating architectural patterns, including APIs, microservices, and cloud-native infrastructure.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Consulting Pedigree: Current or recent experience within a management consulting firm is mandatory. You must be proficient in delivering external advisory services and managing client-facing engagements.
  • Digital & Agile Leadership: Deep expertise in the digital product lifecycle and advanced proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies and JIRA.
  • Public Sector Expertise: Substantial experience delivering services that adhere to Government Digital Service (GDS) standards is essential.
  • User-Centred Design (UCD): A sophisticated understanding of how to translate user research into technical specifications without compromising design intent.
  • Technical Literacy: A strong grounding in modern architectural concepts such as APIs and cloud infrastructure to enable credible communication with engineering leads.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain or maintain SC Clearance is required for all public sector workstreams.

It is an ideal platform for consultants who want to work on the UK’s most significant digital challenges within a culture that prioritises sustainable performance.
