Role: Architectural Designer
Location: Northwest, UK
Rate of Pay: Competitive (DOE)
Contract: 12-month contract
Working Pattern: Hybrid
We’re seeking a talented Architectural Designer to join our growing studio in the Northwest. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed‑use projects while contributing to a collaborative, design‑driven environment.
About the Role:
You’ll be involved in projects from early concept through to technical delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong design thinking, technical competence, and the confidence to contribute ideas within a supportive team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Concept development – Producing sketches, diagrams, and early‑stage design proposals.
- Planning applications — Preparing drawings, documents, and design statements for submission.
- Technical detailing — Assisting with construction packages and specification work.
- Client presentations — Supporting the team in communicating design intent.
- Project coordination — Collaborating with consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in a UK practice
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policy
- A portfolio demonstrating design quality and technical understanding
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
