Our client, a leading name within the UK dairy manufacturing sector, is looking to appoint an ambitious and driven Product Development Manager to join their growing team during an exciting period of expansion.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FMCG product developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food innovation, customer collaboration, and delivering commercially successful products to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end product development projects across multiple categories and customer accounts
- Manage NPD timelines, critical paths, and launch processes to ensure successful project delivery
- Drive innovation pipelines using consumer insights, market trends, and customer briefs
- Develop and present creative product concepts aligned with brand and category strategies
- Collaborate closely with Technical, Commercial, Process, and Finance teams to ensure feasibility, quality, and commercial viability
- Support factory trials, product scale-up, and successful product launches
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor post-launch performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
About You:
You will be an experienced Product Development professional with a proven track record of delivering successful launches within a fast-moving FMCG environment.
- Previous experience within FMCG product development, ideally chilled food categories
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing skills
- Commercially aware with excellent project management capabilities
- Passionate about food trends, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience within a retail or FMCG product development role
- Understanding of UK & European food regulations and compliance standards

- Strong organisational and analytical capabilities
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
