We’re supporting a local authority client seeking an experienced senior waste professional to lead across strategic and operational waste management activities.

This is a high-profile interim assignment requiring a strong background in waste operations, service improvement, stakeholder management, and contract/procurement environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across waste management and disposal services
• Support operational delivery and long-term strategic planning
• Drive service improvement and transformation initiatives
• Support procurement and contractor management activity
• Work closely with senior stakeholders and external partners
• Deliver both strategic oversight and hands-on operational support

Required Experience

• Senior leadership experience within waste management
• Strong understanding of waste disposal operations
• Local authority or large-scale environmental services experience
• Procurement and contract management exposure
• Experience delivering operational improvements and change programmes
