Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Project Engineer to join their engineering projects team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with experience delivering projects within a medium to heavy manufacturing or industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have a practical engineering background and are comfortable working closely with machinery, maintenance teams, contractors, and production operations in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering projects from approval through to commissioning
  • Deliver projects to specification, budget, and agreed timelines
  • Produce and review technical specifications and project documentation
  • Support design activities, engineering calculations, and layout development
  • Coordinate contractors and onsite project activities
  • Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, permits, and risk assessments
  • Maintain accurate project tracking, costing, and CMMS records
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams to minimise downtime
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers throughout project delivery

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience within a Project Engineering role in manufacturing, heavy industry, or industrial engineering environments
  • Strong practical engineering knowledge with hands-on understanding of machinery and plant systems
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of fabrication, steelwork, structural, or plant engineering projects would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • IOSH qualification or equivalent desirable
