Infrastructure Engineer Professional

Position Summary:

Dar UK is looking for a candidate in our London Office with significant UK and international experience in water infrastructure design, ideally within a consultancy environment.

The role is to provide Infrastructure Engineering / Professional expertise for the Dar London Sustainability & Infrastructure Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with significant experience in water infrastructure to work on large-scale projects across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design and delivery of essential water infrastructure solutions

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in applying infrastructure engineering solutions within a consultancy environment. They will need to be part of project teams, lead the infrastructure aspects of the projects that they work on, and to be flexible, adaptable and to work well under pressure.

This is a client facing role and the candidate will need good graphical and communication skills to convey the engineering aspects of the project to the design team and to the client effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Coordination
  • Focuses on Planning, Design, and Delivering resilient water and environment infrastructure solutions, ensuring sustainable designs across the lifecycle of projects in urban, industrial, and natural systems.

  1. Client Engagement
  • Manage communication and interface between Dar’s Design Teams and the Client to convey the Key Infrastructure Design requirements for delivery of complete coordinated urban network systems.

  1. Business Development
  • Supports growth by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and building client partnerships, while aligning with Dar’s wider presence and ambitions across the Middle East and Africa

Key Requirements:

The role focuses on planning, designing, and delivering resilient water and environment infrastructure, ensuring sustainable solutions across the lifecycle of projects in urban, industrial, and natural systems, and will require:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Full membership of appropriate professional body (e.g. ICE, CIWEM, etc)
  • The demonstrated ability to support the design and modelling of water infrastructure systems, including water supply, distribution networks, wastewater, and drainage systems.
  • Assist in preparing design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders and apply local design standards across different regions.
  • Work on a variety of projects from planning and design to construction and handover.
  • Knowledgeable in BREEAM and LEED, as well as other Sustainable Certification Systems would be advantageous
