9-Day Fortnight | Nuclear Sector | New Projects & Career GrowthWith continued growth across our sector and exciting new projects coming online, we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team in Winfrith.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the commissioning, maintenance, and reliability of critical assets supporting the future of nuclear waste treatment technologies.Working closely with Project Engineers and Operations teams, you’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance activities across site systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using CMMS systems such as MaintMasterRespond to breakdowns, fault-find, diagnose issues, and restore equipment safely and efficientlyConduct repairs, replacements, and adjustments on plant and material-handling equipmentSupport installation, commissioning, and modification of new equipmentComplete maintenance records and CMMS updates accuratelyEnsure compliance with permits, RAMS, SSOW, and site safety proceduresConduct inspections, condition monitoring, and support root cause analysisWork collaboratively with engineering, operations, and project teamsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce downtime

Essential Skills & Experience
Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 qualificationProven maintenance experience within industrial or process environmentsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilityExperience using CMMS systems (MaintMaster, SAP, Maximo or similar)Understanding of permit-to-work systems and safe systems of workGood working knowledge of plant and material-handling equipmentFull clean driving licence
