ROLE SUMMARY

A Live-In Care Support Worker provides round‑the‑clock support, companionship, and assistance with daily living while residing in the client’s home. The role is available for both full‑time and part‑time positions with full‑time hours as a permanent option.

Job Overview

As a Live‑In Care Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with daily living, personal care and companionship, helping them remain independent in their own homes. The position offers flexibility, excellent training, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while being part of a supportive and professional team.

Duties

  • Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
  • Plan and prepare meals, support with meal preparation and cooking.
  • Provide companionship, build trusting relationships and offer emotional support.
  • Follow care plans and administer medication (training will be provided).
  • Accompany clients to healthcare visits and other outings.
  • Maintain a safe environment by completing household tasks and light cleaning.
  • Encourage clients to live fulfilling and independent lives.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience and compassion in all situations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Some previous experience in a care home, hospital or community care setting.
  • Good communication skills – ability to keep accurate records and engage effectively with clients.
  • Reliable and responsible – committed to supporting vulnerable adults.
  • Right to work in the UK – valid proof required (passport, settled/pre‑settled status or visa).
  • Willingness to travel across the South West of England.
  • Driving licence (desirable but not essential).
