Job description

You will be responsible for supporting children and adults with complex clinical care needs across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. We are seeking compassionate, dedicated Healthcare Assistants who are committed to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care tailored to each individual’s clinical and personal needs. In this role, you will provide safe and effective clinical interventions, support daily care routines, and promote engagement in meaningful activities that enhance quality of life. Care will be delivered primarily within the client’s home environment, with support provided for community access and social inclusion where appropriate. You will assist with day‑to‑day activities, offering consistent companionship while remaining attentive to comfort, dignity, and emotional wellbeing. The role includes medication administration, manual handling, and the delivery of specialist clinical care, in line with individual care plans, risk assessments, and clinical protocols.

Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff. Our clients have requested females only to join their care team. “This isn’t just a job, it’s your opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.”

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 3 months’ hands‑on experience providing care within a complex or high‑dependency care setting
  • Demonstrated ability to safely administer medication and deliver clinical care with confidence and accuracy
  • Proven experience in tracheostomy care, including routine and emergency management
  • Competence in enteral feeding, following clinical guidelines and care plans
  • Experience supporting individuals requiring ventilation management
  • Skilled in gastrostomy care, ensuring infection control and patient safety at all times

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly pay with enhancements for nights and weekends
  • Regular confirmed rotas and flexible scheduling
  • Reward and recognition programme
  • Supportive management and 24/7 on‑call support
  • Opportunity to grow within a values‑led, national care provider

Our funded training, including clinical skills, comes at no cost to you, though attendance is unpaid.
