Job Responsibilities
- Routine and ad‑hoc testing and activities within the Micronclean Laboratory.
- Sample preparation, conditioning, testing, disposal or preservation as required.
- Reporting of results on a LIMS system.
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment; keeping the laboratory clean, safe and operational, including calibration of equipment where applicable.
- Support and contribute to the advancement of laboratory testing capability.
- Provide an active role in supporting the wash trial facility.
- Effectively communicate and support other business functions with testing understanding, results and scientific knowledge.
Qualifications
- Ideal for candidates completing GCSEs in Year 11, studying BTECs or A‑levels at college or sixth form, or seeking experience between periods of university study.
- Scientific experience preferred but not essential; an undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, microbiology or related subjects is an advantage.
- Good IT skills in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Good communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
