The Role
Are you an experienced Panel Wirer or Harness Builder with a background in automotive or rail systems? This is an excellent opportunity for a Panel Wirer to join a well‑established production environment within a globally recognised engineering organisation, supporting the manufacture and repair of high‑quality electrical harnesses and assemblies.
This role is ideal for a practical, safety‑focused Panel Wirer who takes pride in producing work to drawing and instruction, thrives in a fast‑paced production setting, and values quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture conduit and concentric layered electrical harnesses to current drawings and instructions
- Inspect, test, and repair electrical harnesses, control cabinets, power packs, and transmission systems
- Diagnose and identify unfair wear and tear, escalating repair requirements to the Electrical Team Leader
- Carry out electrical repairs on parts and equipment as required
- Complete all documentation accurately, including inspection sheets and sign‑off records
- Follow written and verbal instructions while working to realistic timeframes
- Undertake training and development as required
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working in a busy electrical manufacturing or repair environment
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and harness manufacturing
- Able to work effectively to deadlines and adapt within a changing production environment
- Highly organised, structured, and quality focused
- Previous experience within rail or automotive industries is preferred
