An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a well-established and growing specialist steelwork business based in West Yorkshire.
The company delivers high-quality engineered steelwork solutions across a wide range of projects, including staircases, balustrades, structural steelwork, platforms, and bespoke steel installations. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to add a skilled Fabricator Welder to their day shift team.
The Role
Working within a busy fabrication workshop, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural steel components to engineering drawings and project specifications. This role will involve cutting, grinding, assembling, and welding a variety of steel sections while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
- Fabricating structural steel components including UB’s, UC’s, PFC’s, and CHS’s
- Cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding steelwork to specification
- Operating fabrication machinery, hand tools, and overhead cranes
- Ensuring all work is completed to quality and dimensional standards
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
- Working effectively as part of a fabrication team to meet production deadlines
Requirements
- Previous experience in steel fabrication and welding
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Strong fabrication and MIG welding skills
- Experience working with structural steel components
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety conscious
- Fabrication/Welding qualifications advantageous but not essential
