Overview

SIS Care has an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team. This is a full‑time permanent role with a competitive salary of £12.60 per hour.

Overshadowed by four directors with over 35 years of experience in NHS mental health and business, SIS is a leading social care provider offering supported living services for people with complex mental health needs. The goal is to help people live independent lives through bespoke care packages and supported housing options.

Role Overview

The Support Worker will support individuals with complex mental health needs, assisting with daily living and enhancing their quality of life through person‑centred support. Work will take place at the Abbots Grange mixed‑sex scheme of 11 beds, which includes self‑contained flats and shared living. Each client receives a key worker and is supported in a recovery‑led way using tools such as Recovery Star, weekly planners and budget planning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person‑centred support to individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks and promote independence.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver the agreed care plan and recovery objectives.
  • Use supporting tools and documentation such as Recovery Star and weekly planners.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records and support planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience working within a supported living service.
  • Experience within mental health settings.
  • Passion for making a difference and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Driving licence preferred but not essential.
  • Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
