About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Tool Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering team in Huntingdon. This is a hands‑on role focused on ensuring extrusion tooling is maintained to the highest standard to support safe, efficient and repeatable production.
What You Will Do
- Maintain, repair and modify extrusion tooling, dies, jigs and fixtures.
- Ensure tooling is optimised, available and production‑ready.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and engineering improvements.
- Support new tooling from commissioning through to production start‑up.
- Record tooling settings, history and data within the Tool Room database.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams.
- Support continuous improvement, 5S activity and safe working practices.
About You
- Level3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent) with 3+ years’ experience.
- Previous experience in a Toolmaking or machining environment.
- Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D tooling drawings.
- Hands‑on experience with lathes, milling, drilling, grinding and similar equipment.
- Experience within extrusion manufacturing (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
