About The Role
This is a Floating Support Worker role in our Connecting People Service, with the base location being the Camfan Service in Lampeter, Ceredigion. Managers and Floating Support Workers provide support for individuals experiencing challenging times. You will give community support to individuals (18+) with mild learning disabilities. Support may include housing challenges, mental health issues, substance misuse, and other complex needs. Assisting with sustaining and securing suitable accommodation is rewarding when you are part of an individual’s development and growth.
Skills And Experience Needed
- Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
- Hold a valid UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.
- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible.
- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives.
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations.
