Warehouse Operative Nights

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance and Bendi/Aisle Master forklift to safely load and unload palletised goods from lorries and place pallets into designated racking systems.
• Use various MHE including PPTs, Counterbalance trucks, and Aisle Master units to complete daily warehouse tasks efficiently.
• Tip and load trailers as required, ensuring all work is carried out safely and accurately.
• Use warehouse systems and scanners to accurately receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods while maintaining high standards of care and attention.
• Pick stock, put stock away into correct locations, and carry out cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Replenish stock and consolidate inventory when needed to support smooth warehouse operations.
• Support general warehouse duties, such as pallet wrapping, labelling, and “clean as you go” housekeeping to ensure a safe and organised working environment.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, following warehouse procedures and reporting any issues or equipment defects promptly.

Qualifications

• Hold either a current Counterbalance license or a Bendi forklift licence.
• Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.
• Experience with computerized warehouse management systems; Manhattan scale is advantageous.
• Good communication and team working skills.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work within a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

Compensation

• Competitive Salary: £34,492.64pa

Work Hours

• 18:00hrs to 06:00hrs, working 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
