Support Worker (North Dorset)
Location: Weymouth | Working Hours: 37 | Contract Type: Fixed Term | Salary: £25,877 – £30,868
About the role
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team in North Dorset as a Support Worker. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals on their journey to recovery and improved well‑being. You will work closely with clients, colleagues and partner organisations to reduce substance‑related harm and promote positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload, including devising, implementing, and reviewing recovery and treatment plans.
- Support individuals from initial engagement through structured treatment to sustained recovery.
- Reduce substance‑related harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Collaborate with key partners and internal colleagues to achieve the best possible health and well‑being outcomes.
About you

Qualifications and experience
- Experience in substance misuse services.
- A background in mental health support.
- Experience within the criminal justice sector.
- A relevant academic qualification (e.g. Criminology, Psychology, Law, Sociology).
- A strong portfolio of volunteering in a similar role.
- Experience in case management and the ability to manage expectations within an emotionally demanding role.
