Retail Assistant – Part Time, Evenings & Weekends
We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Avonmeads, Bristol. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours a week over 4 days, including weekends.
Your shift availability must include weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
Hours and Pay
Hours: 20 hours across 4 days per week.
Pay: £10.95 – £12.81 per hour (Based on age):
- Ages 16‑20 = £10.95 per hour
- Ages 21+ = £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities
- Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank‑you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves.
- Work with the rest of the team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.
Qualifications
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Enjoy staying busy; you will jump between deliveries, tills, help on the shop floor, cleaning, stock rotation, and more.
- Reliability – you are an important part of a small team and your colleagues and customers rely on you to do your best each shift.
- Flexibility – you may need to work slightly different hours to cover for teammates; rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside work are taken into consideration.
- Successful completion of an Employment Verification check (which will be sent via email if hired).
