Teacher of Science Harrogate

About the role:

We are recruiting a Science Teacher who can bring creativity, enthusiasm and strong subject knowledge to a well-resourced and supportive department in a Secondary School in Harrogate to start in September. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs who are looking to develop their practice in a forward-thinking school. The role is offered on a long-term, full time supply basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• Inspire and motivate students of all abilities
• Assess, track and report on student progress
• Contribute to the wider Science department and school community
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and progress

Pre-requisites:

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in Science
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to high standards and inclusive education
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach
• Two education or school based references
