7:30am – 4:00pm | 1 in 3 Weeks Late Shift 1:30pm – 10:00pm
Salary: £46,721 per annum (£22.46 per hour)

An excellent opportunity has become available for a skilled HGV Technician to join a highly respected commercial vehicle organisation with depots located across the UK. Operating one of the country’s most diverse fleets — including vans, trailers, excavators, and 44-tonne tankers — this business maintains over 5,000 vehicles nationwide.
The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and modification work across a varied fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Supporting full vehicle overhauls and component replacements
- Completing pre-MOT inspections and preparation work
- Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA and company standards
- Maintaining high levels of health and safety within the workshop
- Working on a wide range of fleet vehicles, trailers, workshop plant, and associated equipment
The successful HGV Technician will have:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety standards
- HGV Class 1 licence desirable, but not essential
