Performing Arts Technician
Performing Arts Technician required to support the Head of Department with stage managing the School Play and overseeing the technical elements of the production, as well as providing technical support for GCSE examined performances.
Key responsibilities
- Providing technical support to both staff and students, including making recordings of the practical exams and transferring digital media from one format to another.
- Operating light and sound equipment during practical exams and the school play.
- Stage managing the annual school play, coordinating and managing all technical elements and managing groups of students assigned to each technical element.
Training will be provided where necessary.
Requirements
- Drama or Theatre background.
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively with students, teachers, suppliers, and members of the public.
- Enjoy working with young people and a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Appetite for learning new skills.
