Live-in Mother’s Help / Family Assistant – Part-Time (25–30 hrs/week)
Our client, a friendly family with two children aged 6 and 7 years, is seeking a reliable, warm, and practical Live-in Mother’s Help / Family Assistant to support their household on a part‑time, flexible basis working approximately 25–30 hours per week between Monday to Friday.
This varied role combines after‑school childcare, school runs, light household support, errands, dog walking, and general assistance to help the family home run smoothly. The position is built around the natural rhythm of family life, with hours typically spread across weekdays to include morning support (school prep and school runs), midday errands or household tasks, and after‑school care and activities.
Responsibilities
- After‑school childcare and supervision
- School pick‑ups and drop‑offs on agreed days
- Dog walking and pet care
- Household errands such as shopping, post office visits, and returns
- Light housekeeping and maintaining shared spaces
- Children’s wardrobe organisation, seasonal sorting, and helping with selling clothes
- General household support to keep routines running smoothly
Ideal Candidate
- Organised, proactive, and confident managing their own flow of work within a weekly rhythm
- Calm, friendly, and grounded, with a flexible approach to switching between tasks
- Experienced in childcare and comfortable supporting a busy family
- Able to drive, as the role includes school runs and local errands
This is a live-in position with accommodation provided, offering flexibility and a supportive working environment. Rate is £14–£16 per hour gross depending on experience.
