Role summary

The main aim of this role is to support children with SEND and work alongside the SEN Unit’s class teachers to tailor work and activities to meet the children’s needs. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and take ownership of the role, by ensuring learning is fun and engaging.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEND in a classroom setting.
• Collaborate with SEN Unit teachers to tailor work and activities to meet each child’s needs.

Requirements & Checks

• Full enhanced DBS check required.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Disclosure of any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 required.
• Right to work and satisfactory references.
• Medical, online/social media, prohibition from teaching and suitability to work with children checks.
