About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our school community. This is a full-time, permanent position working within our Key Stage 1 provision, supporting pupils aged 6–11 with a range of special educational needs. You will play a vital role in creating an inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every child is empowered to thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils
  • Develop and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in collaboration with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to ensure consistent, effective support for all learners
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, using data to inform planning and intervention
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school team
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture

About You

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or an inclusive setting
  • Has knowledge of a range of learning needs, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
  • Is patient, empathetic, and committed to championing the needs of every child
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Is a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
  • Is proactive, reflective, and dedicated to continuous professional development
