Catering Assistant – Bryntirion Residential Care Home

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed.

We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our team at Bryntirion Residential Care Home in Tregaron, on a permanent, part-time basis.

The role includes:

  • general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
  • to prepare and serve an evening meal to the residents
  • maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times
  • ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • undertake the preparation and serving of an evening meal for the residents to include beverages
  • general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
  • setting up the tables and clearing if required
  • recording the temperature of food at the point of service
  • ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
  • ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling
  • general Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment
