Teaching Assistant

John ChiltonSchool is a successful school for pupils who have complex physical, medical andlearning difficulties. We are innovative in our approach to educating pupils aged4 to 19 years in a unique environment. The school is located on two sites, andthe post holder will be expected to be able to work on either site.

The jobincludes: leading learning activities, improving interaction and communication,evaluating and feedback on learning and progress, organising and maintainingschool equipment, supporting a positive learning environment for pupils andassisting pupils with their personal care; you must be sufficiently physicallyfit to be able to do this.

You:

• willbe hard working and committed to work across the age range (4 to 19 years);
• musthave significant experience of working with children or adults with complex andprofound additional needs;
• willbe able to work with minimum supervision within well-defined guidelines.
