This is not a high-volume multi-drop role. Staffline are currently seeking dedicated and reliable van drivers to join our team in Doncaster. As a van driver, you will have the opportunity to work through our agency, representing a highly reputable retail company.

The role primarily involves store deliveries, not home deliveries, providing a consistent workload throughout the year. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and weekend working is essential. We offer paid induction training to ensure your success in the role.

Work is available over 7 days, however we require a driver to work either a Saturday or a Sunday.

Shifts start between 6 am and 10 am. Ideal candidates are flexible to work weekends and can accommodate various rota arrangements, including Sunday duties with Saturday as a rest day, Saturday duties with Sunday as a rest day, or working both weekend days with mid‑week rest days.

Pay Rates

  • Days 06:00 – 22:00: £13.35 per hour
  • Nights 22:00 – 06:00: £16.02 per hour
  • Overtime Days after 40 hours: £20.03 per hour
  • Overtime Nights after 40 hours: £24.04 per hour
  • Bank Holiday Days: £26.70 per hour
  • Bank Holiday Nights: £32.04 per hour

The work will involve store deliveries, customer collections, replenishment runs and occasional home deliveries throughout the UK. You will be required to work between South Elmsall and Redhouse, Doncaster.

Assessment

  • Theory Test
  • Hazard Perception Test
  • Vehicle Checks
  • Vehicle Manoeuvre (reverse onto the bay)
  • Drug & alcohol test (possible)

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Car licence (Cat B) for more than 1 year
  • No more than 6 points on licence
  • Proven experience as a van driver, preferably in store deliveries (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of the Doncaster area and its surrounding regions
  • Excellent driving record and understanding of road traffic regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle goods with care (items no more than 15 kg)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends (essential)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
