The Best Connection is recruiting an experienced Class 1 Night Driver (C+E) to join a busy operation within the transport and logistics industry in Atherstone. This role offers a regular trunking route, ongoing work, and the opportunity for a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
Job Role – Class 1 Night Driver (Transport Industry)
As a Class 1 Night Driver in Atherstone, you will complete a set nightly trunking route from Atherstone to Gretna and return, ensuring safe and timely deliveries within the transport and logistics industry.
Route Information
- Atherstone → Gretna → Return to Atherstone
- Regular and consistent nightly route
- Long-distance night driving
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle
- Complete nightly trunking runs on schedule
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensure compliance with driver hours and transport regulations
- Maintain professional communication with the transport team
- Deliver high standards of reliability and customer service
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Comfortable with long-distance night driving
