Role Overview
The School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, located in the UK motorsport valley, has a world‑class reputation for its undergraduate and postgraduate Motorsport degrees. As our student cohort has seen consistent growth, we are looking to appoint a Technical Instructor in our Motorsport laboratories.
As our Technical Instructor, you will be working within the Mechanical Engineering Fabrication Workshops using modern recently installed equipment. You will support our high‑calibre students to design and build the next generation of electric racing cars, with four in‑wheel motors and full carbon fibre chassis. This work takes place in industry‑standard laboratories, optimised to produce race cars winning at competitions, year on year, in the UK and abroad.
Qualifications
- At least an HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
- Excellent team working and communication skills.
