A leading accountancy firm is seeking a Corporate Services Associate to join its growing team in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual currently studying towards an accountancy qualification or building experience within practice. The role offers exposure to a wide range of audit and corporate services assignments, working closely with senior team members and clients across various sectors while continuing professional development in a supportive environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Support audit engagements by completing assigned audit testing and fieldwork.
- Gather and document audit evidence in line with professional standards.
- Complete audit sections under supervision, including journals, goodwill, stock, investments, related parties, and going concern reviews.
- Prepare clear and meaningful audit highlights for manager and partner review.
- Identify anomalies, control weaknesses, and areas of risk, escalating where appropriate.
- Communicate professionally with clients to request information and resolve basic queries.
- Assist with identifying process improvements and efficiencies within assignments.
- Ensure work is completed within budget and agreed deadlines.
- Use audit and accounting software effectively to complete assignments.
- Support team members through collaboration, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Continue developing technical knowledge and awareness of regulatory changes.
Personal Requirements
- Currently studying towards or qualified by experience in ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent.
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Understanding of audit processes, accounting principles, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
