Street Lighting Operative

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Street Lighting Operative at JB Riney based at our Leyton Depot in Walthamstow.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all aspects of routine and non‑routine maintenance are carried out.
• Installation and removal of columns, posts and bollards, and illuminated signs.
• Identify and repair client‑owned cables.
• Bulk clean and change street furniture, painting where possible.
• Maintain plant to high standards, reporting defects.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to meet contractual obligations.
• Document all work in line with company SHE policies and maintenance system.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in street lighting within the civil engineering industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills.
• Full UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid G39, IPA, FNRS, WAM, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheel, HGV Class 2 / 7.5t licence and First Aid at Work qualifications.
