Salary: £29,659.50 (based on 37.5 hours a week with one sleep-in shift)

Job Description

Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking enthusiastic and dependable support workers to join their dedicated team in a scenic rural setting. The Support Worker role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities, ensuring no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents in their daily lives, fostering independence, confidence, resilience, and personal growth
  • Engage in farm-related and outdoor activities alongside residents
  • Assist with social, recreational, and skill-building programmes tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
  • Support residents during social activities such as local discos, pub visits, film nights, and games
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive team to create a safe, enriching environment
  • Support residents with their personal care and daily routines
  • Take individuals to their chosen places of worship as required
  • Drive the service vehicle to take residents out in the local community

Requirements

  • Genuine passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Flexibility to adapt to indoor and outdoor activities
  • Willingness to participate in social and recreational activities
  • Ability to drive and take residents out in the service vehicle
  • Previous experience in care or support work is advantageous but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
