Your new role
As Fabrication Supervisor, you will oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring fabrication projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards. You will lead a team of fabricators and welders, coordinating workloads and maintaining strong operational responsibilities will include:
Supervising daily fabrication and welding activitiesAllocating workloads and coordinating team tasksMonitoring the use of welding equipment, hand tools and machineryConducting quality inspections to ensure work meets specificationsPromoting and enforcing health & safety standards across the workshopSupporting and developing team members through training and guidanceWorking closely with production and project teams to meet deadlinesMaintaining accurate production records and reportingIdentifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
What you’ll need to succeed
Previous supervisory experience within fabrication or manufacturingStrong hands-on experience in welding and fabrication processesKnowledge of sheet metal work and assembly techniquesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsStrong leadership and organisational skillsGood problem-solving ability and mechanical awarenessExcellent communication skills and team-focused approach
