A highly respected and long-established commercial law firm is seeking a proactive and organised Legal Administration Assistant to join its growing support team. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative professional looking to build a career within a professional services environment, supporting legal teams across a diverse range of practice areas.
Working closely with fee earners and legal secretaries, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the firm, delivering high-quality administrative support and helping to maintain exceptional client service standards.
The role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support including document production, scanning, filing, photocopying and records management.
- Opening and maintaining client and matter files in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating diaries, meetings and client appointments.
- Assisting with billing administration, invoice preparation and payment processing.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring accurate filing and record keeping.
- Liaising with clients, courts, counsel and other external parties to support matter progression.
- Preparing legal documents, court bundles and supporting documentation.
- Undertaking occasional court runs and document deliveries.
- Providing reception and client hospitality support when required.
- Assisting with firm-wide projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous administrative experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of confidentiality, data protection and professional standards.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
