Project Manager – £40,000 to £45,000 per year (depending on experience) + company car.
Location: Oldham Office (covers Manchester, Liverpool, and the Leeds area).
Employment: Full‑time, Permanent. Working Monday–Friday, 37‑hour working week.
Role Overview
The main purpose of this Project Manager role is to assume responsibility for orders as instructed by the Lead Senior Project Manager from receipt on Baan through to job completion and invoicing. The role acts as a pivotal link between the office‑based administration team and field‑based operations, technical team, subcontractors, customers and the Service Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Co‑ordinate and project manage high‑value repair & refurbishment orders.
- Agree work programmes to suit customer demand and resource availability.
- Issue service orders, including time allowances, customer and site details, equipment schedules, method statements and risk assessments as appropriate.
- Issue internal and external purchase orders; negotiate prices to improve forecast project margin – purchase orders above £10k are reviewed and signed by the Service Director.
- Monitor programme and margin performance to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Liaise and co‑ordinate with Manufacturing Department and Suppliers to ensure goods and materials are supplied as required.
- Attend monthly review meetings with the Lead Senior Project Manager to update on all projects, provide an overview of project margin activities, and discuss any project and/or G&R issues.
- Act as a link between the Service and Finance Departments to ensure invoices are sent out correctly and on time.
- Review and check information on RAMS to ensure they are accurate, compliant and suitable for the work being carried out.
- Ensure site‑specific RAMS are produced and issued to customers well in advance of attendance.

Qualifications
- Proven track record in project engineering/management.
- Experience in a similar supervisory role.
- Awareness of H&S legislation and its implications on the service industry.
- Knowledge of contractual issues relating to project work.
- Experience of working to quality assurance procedures.
- Experience of similar duties within an HVAC or comparable industry/company.
