Role Overview
We are a small medium enterprise consultancy in Leeds looking to expand our team with a Transport Planner. The role offers exposure to a range of projects and clients, with the flexibility to work on schemes that match your interests.
The ideal candidate will have good experience in Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Junction Modelling and possibly BREEAM Assessments. You will also gain opportunities to attend client meetings, stakeholder meetings, and develop skills in Traffic Modelling, Swept Path Analysis and preliminary detailed design.
Responsibilities
- Write transport statements (TS) and traffic impact assessments (TA) and support senior staff in complex TS and TA preparation
- Prepare travel plans, including conducting travel surveys with client organisations and analysing the data
- Monitor travel plans, liaise with organisations to promote the travel plan, and ensure compliance with fund and target requirements
- Support BREEAM assessments (Tr01 and Tr02)
- Prepare traffic models, organise traffic surveys and analyse results
- Carry out site visits and traffic survey work/data collection
- Produce accurate drawings (AutoCAD/GIS) to support technical reports
- Conduct visibility assessments and swept path analysis
- Perform preliminary access design and review internal layouts for serviceability and functionality in collaboration with architects
- Liaise with team members, co-professionals and clients, attending meetings with clients and regulators
- Prepare quotations for work and manage projects involving the above activities
- Perform ad‑hoc administrative duties, such as collating technical reports and setting up projects in the system
- Represent the consultancy at events
Benefits
