Job Overview

Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division – a new era of mobile repair. The role offers a competitive base salary of £40,178, with on‑target earnings of up to £52,000. A guaranteed overtime option can increase the base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.

Work 40 hours per week with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one Saturday in every four.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Execute in‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on the inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Required Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
