Your Future Role

Take on a new challenge and apply your digital and cybersecurity expertise in the new field of Digital Mobility. You’ll report to the Regional Digital Director UKI and work within a close‑knit, agile team that is part of the railway industry’s most successful Digital Services organisation.

Day‑to‑day you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Digital Project Managers, product specialists, and quality, safety and engineering teams. Your main focus will be to identify and allocate digital tender requirements, define and cost solutions, and secure secure digital outcomes for customers that enhance railway safety and resilience.

We’ll look to you to:

  • Serve as the single point of contact for digital and cybersecurity topics on tenders.
  • Be accountable for delivering the Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) for digital & cybersecurity in tenders.
  • Secure tender launch and key meetings, ensuring the inclusion of all digital stakeholders.
  • Ensure digital roles and responsibilities are clear and aligned with tender planning.
  • Analyse tender documents, laws and regulations to establish full digital and cybersecurity requirements and coordinate returns of Digital Services Platform inputs.
  • Raise clarification questions in the tender process and draft tender responses.
  • Manage risks and escalate when required.

Additional Responsibilities as a Digital Project Manager

  • Act as key customer point of contact on the digital scope, coordinating variation orders and communicating customer input to stakeholders.
  • Secure project initialization for the Tender Transfer Gate, ensuring digital scope, planning and resources are mobilised.
  • Manage and complete digital cross‑functional activities and deliverables to meet contractual commitments and QCDP objectives.
  • Lead project governance to conclusion, monitoring key dimensions and deviations, arbitrating change and ensuring compliance.
  • Support discussions with licences providers and third parties, especially for service levels and support.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent in‑work experience).
  • Digital solutions leadership experience in an operational environment, including IT or OT security and tender or contract execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to influence and explain technical information to non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness.
  • Experience of cybersecurity implementation, including vulnerability management and maintaining security controls throughout life.
  • Knowledge of ISO 2700X, 62443, NIS2, CRA and other primary IT and OT security standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the digital and security market and its key players.
  • Knowledge of main techniques for evaluating digital systems and their cybersecurity.
