Job Description
As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum uptime across a fast‑paced manufacturing facility.
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
- Fault find across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose issues on PLC, CNC, and electronic control systems
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Support continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment availability
- Support site projects and machinery upgrades
- Identify cost‑saving and efficiency improvement opportunities
- Promote a strong safety‑first culture across the facility
Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 3, time‑served apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering qualification
- Strong multi‑skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
- Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding expertise
- PLC, CNC, and automation systems experience
- Ability to read schematics and ladder logic
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable
- 18th Edition qualification
- Hydraulic and mechanical systems expertise
- ABB robotics experience
- IOSH / NEBOSH or strong safety improvement exposure
- Forklift, MEWP, or driving licence
