Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence
    • Operate computer‑based batching and dispatching systems.
    • Ensure concrete and mortar production meets customer requirements and company quality standards.
    • Maintain stock levels and verify all materials meet specification.
    • Batch concrete/mortar accurately following operational procedures.
  • Site Safety & Compliance
    • Uphold Health, Safety, Environmental legislation and company policies.
    • Monitor waste disposal, water discharge and dust emissions.
    • Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors follow safety procedures.
    • Report defects, incidents or anything impacting safety, environment, product quality or service.
  • Maintenance & Housekeeping
    • Carry out routine maintenance and inspections.
    • Keep plant buildings, equipment and surrounding areas clean, tidy and well‑presented.
    • Supervise contractors and hauliers on site.
    • Secure the site and maintain building security at all times.
  • Customer Service
    • Handle customer enquiries politely and professionally by phone and face‑to‑face.
    • Represent the company with a positive and professional image.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Review work methods and plant utilisation for efficiency.
    • Seek guidance on operational matters outside role authority.
    • Carry out additional duties as required.

  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers, contractors and hauliers.

  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple plant locations.
