Corporate M&A (Gambling, Tech, Media & Communications) lawyer 5+ years’ PQE LONDON

Overview

Large commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit a Corporate M&A (Gambling Tech, Media & Communications) lawyer with 5 or more years’ PQE. You’ll work on cross‑border deals from day one, the majority of which will involve working with innovative, entrepreneurial clients on bespoke and unusual structures and dynamics. This role offers excellent opportunities to challenge an ambitious and creative corporate lawyer, working closely with other lawyers in other teams to deliver deals in some of the fastest moving sectors of the global economy.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead role on an array of corporate transactions, managing teams of associates and trainees
• Develop existing and new client relationships, with the freedom to source and develop contacts and prospects without needing partner attendance
• Support the firm in developing its business and raising its profile in the Gambling and TMC sectors, including opportunities to speak at UK and international industry events
• Supervise and train mid‑level and junior associates and trainees
• Adopt a sophisticated approach to AI usage in your work and that of the team throughout the lifecycle of a project

Requirements

• Ideally have existing experience in the Gambling and/or TMC sectors (e.g. via experience working in‑house or on secondment at a business operating within either sector)
• Be a team player with excellent drafting skills, often needing to create bespoke documents and mechanisms without relying on precedents
• Have the ability to translate legal analysis into practical advice
• Strong commercial acumen, good interpersonal and business advisory skills, and a desire to become an expert in the Gambling and TMC sectors
