Rotational Occupational Therapist – Band 5 QIA #2440

Job reference 357‑PR-198‑26‑QIA2440‑A. Full‑time, permanent role within United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Hours 37.5 per week, including weekends and bank holidays. Front Door rotation 8 am–8 pm.

Job Overview

The role is part of a rotational Band 5 programme. Rotations are ~6 months covering Medicine, Care of the Older Person, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Respiratory, Community/Outreach, Outpatients and Front Door. Provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment within a 7‑day integrated service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients in acute and community settings.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient and community pathways.
  • Participate in 1:1 supervision, training, peer review and protected CPD.
  • Document clinical practice and contribute to service improvement.
  • Support occupational therapy students where appropriate.
  • Travel to additional site(s) as required, most likely Lincoln County Hospital.

Person Specification

Qualification

  • DipCOT or BSc OT
  • Occupational Therapy HCPC Registration (mandatory)
  • BAOT Member (preferred)

Experience

  • Range of practical education experience.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Team working ability.
  • Teaching skills (preferred).

Specific Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for the profession.
  • Ability to travel within the county.
  • Valid driving licence.
